Status of Official Assignee
(1)
The duties of the Official Assignee shall have relation both to the conduct of the debtor and to the administration of his estate.
(2)
The Official Assignee may administer oaths for the purposes of any matters or proceedings under this Act or for the purpose of taking affidavits.
(3)
The Official Assignee and any person appointed by the President under section 70(3) while the appointment subsists shall be deemed to be public servants within the meaning of the Penal Code [Cap. 224].
