Section 40

Any pawnbroker or other person who is guilty of an offence under this Act, in respect whereof a specific forfeiture or penalty is not prescribed by this Act, or of any breach of this Act, shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $20,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 12 months or to both.[38
