Section 49

The Registrar may, in his discretion, compound any such offence under this Act or any rules made thereunder as may be prescribed as being an offence which may be compounded by collecting from the person reasonably suspected of having committed the offence a sum not exceeding $1,000.

The Minister may make rules prescribing the offences which may be compounded.[46A
