Section 27

When widow’s pension ceases

(1)

A widow’s pension shall cease on her death or remarriage or on her becoming a bankrupt.

(2)

When a widow’s pension ceases in her lifetime she shall for the purposes of this Act be deemed to have died at the time of such cesser:Provided that if a widow’s pension ceases in her lifetime by reason of her bankruptcy the President may from time to time during the remainder of her life or during such shorter period or periods, either continuous or otherwise, as he thinks fit, direct the payment of all or any part of so much, if any, of the said pension as is not for the time being payable to any child or children of such widow or of any husband of hers under this Act to, or apply the same for the maintenance and personal support or benefit of, such widow in such manner as he thinks proper.
