Section 44

The repeal by the Widows’ and Orphans’ Pension (Amendment) Ordinance 1952 of the sections then numbered 7(1), 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12 and the substitution for them of section 9(1), (2), (3) and (4) and sections 10, 11, 12, 13 and 14 do not have effect with respect to the payment or repayment of any contributions made before 1 January 1955; and notwithstanding the repeal of the sections then numbered 8, 9, 11(3) and 12 and the amendment by that Ordinance of the section then numbered 13(2), the provisions of those sections and subsections respectively continue to have effect in relation to the payment or repayment of any such contributions as if that Ordinance had not been enacted.
