Detention of ship until penalties paid
(1)
In the case mentioned in section 146(3), and in any of the cases mentioned in section 154, the ship, if found within two years in any port or place within Singapore, may be seized and detained by the Director until the penalties incurred under this Part by her master or owner have been adjudicated, and the payment of the fines imposed on him under this Part with all costs has been enforced under this Part.
(2)
The aggregate term of imprisonment awarded under section 146 or 154 shall not exceed one year.[172
