Procedure on forfeiture of bonds
(1)
If at any time —
(a)
complaint upon oath is made to a Magistrate’s Court that any bond taken under section 194 has been forfeited; or
(b)
during any proceedings before a Magistrate’s Court or District Court it appears that any such bond has been forfeited,the Court may call upon any person bound by such bond to show cause why he should not pay the penalty mentioned therein, and if sufficient cause is not shown, and the penalty is not paid, the Court may proceed to recover the same by issuing a warrant for the attachment and sale of the property belonging to such person.
(2)
The Court may at its discretion remit any portion of the penalty mentioned, and enforce payment in part only.[217
