Sanction for prosecution of offences under this Act

No person shall be charged with any offence under this Act, other than an offence relating to discipline or order on board a ship, except on the complaint or with the sanction of the Director, the Port Master, a Port Health Officer, a surveyor of ships or a police officer.[367
