Section 363

Every ship shall before registry be surveyed and measured by a surveyor of ships and her tonnage ascertained in accordance with the provisions of any regulations made under this Part.

The surveyor shall grant a certificate of measurement specifying the ship’s tonnage and build and such other particulars descriptive of the identity of the ship as may for the time being be required by the Registrar.

*The certificate of measurement shall be delivered to the Registrar before registry.* Subsection (4) of this section was repealed by Act 38/84.[401
