Cancellation of certificate

(1)

The Minister may cancel a Singapore ship’s certificate of registry or any other certificates held by the ship or impose such conditions as may be required on the grounds of failure to comply with any requirements contained in or made under this Act, or any regulations made thereunder, or on the ground of failure to comply with the requirements of any international convention applicable to Singapore.

(2)

The Minister may cancel the certificate of registry of a Singapore ship if he is satisfied that it is not in the public interest for the ship to continue to be registered as a Singapore ship.[410
