Section 3

Powers of master and crew of revenue vessel

It shall be lawful for the master or other person having the charge or command of a revenue vessel, on hoisting a preventive service flag, to exercise with such assistance as he may consider necessary within the waters of Singapore or upon any vessel or islet therein, or upon any landing place or wharf abutting thereon, the following powers:

(a)

all the powers conferred by sections 24, 26 and 35 of the Misuse of Drugs Act [Cap. 185] upon senior officers of customs and officers of customs; (b)all the powers conferred by sections 105, 110 and 112 of the Customs Act [Cap. 70] upon senior officers of customs and officers of customs; and (c)all the powers conferred by sections 9, 13, 14, 16, 20 and 21 of the Control of Imports and Exports Act [Cap. 56] upon senior authorised officers and authorised officers.
