Registered office
(1)
Every registered trade union shall have a registered office to which all communications and notices may be addressed.
(2)
Notice of the situation of such registered office, and of any change therein, shall be given to the Registrar and shall be registered by him, and the trade union shall not be deemed to have complied with the provisions of this Act until such notice has been given.
(3)
Every trade union which —
operates without having a registered office, or without giving notice of the situation of its registered office as required under this section; or
operates at any place to which its registered office may have been removed, without having given notice of the change in the situation thereof to the Registrar,shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction by a District Court or Magistrate’s Court to a fine not exceeding $50 for every day during which it is so in operation.
(4)
Every officer of any trade union referred to in subsection (3) shall be liable to be convicted and fined a like amount in respect of the same offence.
