Section 9

Penalty for false statement

Any person who, for the purpose of obtaining a payment under a scheme, either for himself or for any other person, knowingly makes any untrue statement or untrue representation, shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 3 months.
