Section 87

Application of certain provisions to instruments not being bills of exchange

(1)

The provisions of this Act relating to crossed cheques shall, so far as applicable, have effect in relation to instruments (other than cheques) to which section 86 applies as they have effect in relation to cheques.

(2)

Sections 89, 90 (except subsection (5)) and 91 shall, so far as applicable, have effect in relation to an instrument referred to in section 86(2)(b) as they have effect in relation to a cheque.

(3)

Sections 89 and 91 shall, so far as applicable, have effect in relation to an instrument referred to in section 86(2)(c) as they have effect in relation to a cheque.
