Section 16

An officer of customs may arrest without warrant a person whom he reasonably suspects of committing or attempting to commit or employing, aiding or assisting a person to commit an offence under this Act or any of its rules.

Every person so arrested shall be taken to a customs station, customs office or police station and shall then be dealt with as if he had been arrested under section 65 of the Criminal Procedure Code (Cap. 68).
