Interpretation

In this Act, unless there is something repugnant in the subject or context —“action” includes any proceeding in a court of law;“arbitration agreement” means a written agreement to submit present or future differences to arbitration, whether an arbitrator is named therein or not;“award” includes an interim award;“court” means the High Court;“Rules of Court” means rules made or deemed to have been made under section 80 of the Supreme Court of Judicature Act [Cap. 322].
