Section 40

This Act, except the provisions set out in the Third Schedule, shall apply in relation to every arbitration under any other enactment passed before or after the commencement of this Act, as if the arbitration were pursuant to an arbitration agreement, except in so far as this Act is inconsistent with that enactment regulating the arbitration or with any rules or procedure authorised or recognised by that enactment.
