Power of Public Prosecutor to direct further investigation in certain cases
(1)
Where the proceedings at any inquiry have been closed by a Coroner and it appears to the Public Prosecutor that further investigation is necessary, the Public Prosecutor may require the Coroner to reopen the inquiry and make further investigation and thereupon that Coroner may and shall reopen the inquiry and make further investigation and thereafter proceed in the same manner as if the proceedings at the inquiry had not been closed by the Coroner.
(2)
This section shall not apply to any inquiry at which any finding of murder or culpable homicide not amounting to murder or causing death by a rash or negligent act has been returned against any person named in it.[280
