Section 17

Every subordinate officer who has completed the period of service for which he was engaged may offer himself for re-engagement for a further period, and, if approved, may be re-engaged on such terms and conditions as may be prescribed by Police Regulations.

Every such re-engagement shall be evidenced by an endorsement on the original engagement signed by the person re-engaged and by a commanding officer or other officer authorised thereto under Police Regulations.
