Section 48

Any Magistrate may hear and determine charges against members of the police force of Malaysia present in Singapore under the circumstances referred to in section 44 in respect of such offences against the law of Malaysia as may be specified by the Minister by notification in the Gazette:Provided that no such Magistrate shall inflict any greater punishment than is provided in the law of Malaysia.
