Section 66

When the Special Constabulary or any part thereof is not mobilised for active service, the Commissioner may employ, without pay, any special police officer who volunteers for such duty to assist the Police Force in the execution of its duty. Every special police officer when so employed shall have the same powers and duties and the same protection and immunities as if he had been mobilised for active service. [65
