Section 26

Power to purchase, sell, lease and exchange lands, etc.

(1)

The Board may, with the Minister’s approval, purchase or lease any land required for any of the purposes of this Act.

(2)

The Board may, with the approval of the prescribed approving authority (except for monthly leases), sell, surrender, lease or exchange any land or building belonging to the Board, either in block or in parcels as may be found most convenient or advantageous.

(3)

Subject to section 37, the Board may lease from month to month any land or building belonging to the Board at such rent and upon such terms and conditions as the Board thinks fit.[24
