Section 142A

Designation of Minister of State and Parliamentary Secretary to hear appeals

(1)

Where pursuant to any provision of this Act an appeal may be made to the Minister, the appropriate Minister may designate the following persons to hear and determine the appeal in the Minister’s place:

(a)

any Minister of State for his or her Ministry;

(b)

any Parliamentary Secretary to his or her Ministry.

In this section, the references to a Minister of State and a Parliamentary Secretary include, respectively, references to a Senior Minister of State and a Senior Parliamentary Secretary.
