Section 20

The Registrar may determine and enter in the records maintained under rules made under section 34(1)(g) the maximum number of persons that may be carried in a heavy motor car or motor car or on a motor cycle, and must inform the registered owner of the vehicle of that number.

Any person who drives a motor vehicle carrying persons in excess of the maximum number of persons determined under subsection (1) for the motor vehicle shall be guilty of an offence.
