Wearing of seat belts

The Minister may make rules requiring, subject to any exceptions that may be prescribed, any person driving or riding in a motor vehicle to wear a seat belt of a type approved by the Deputy Commissioner of Police under section 76(1).

Rules under this section —
(a)
may make different provisions in relation to different classes of vehicles, different descriptions of persons and different circumstances; and
(b)
may make any prescribed exceptions subject to any conditions that may be prescribed.
