Section 78

Restriction on number of trailers drawn

(1)

The number of trailers (if any) which may be drawn by a motor vehicle, other than a heavy locomotive or a light locomotive, on a road must not exceed one.

(2)

For the purposes of this section, “trailer” does not include any vehicle used solely for carrying water for the purposes of the drawing vehicle or any agricultural vehicle not constructed to carry a load.

(3)

If any person causes or permits a trailer to be drawn in contravention of this section, the person shall be guilty of an offence.
