Section 23

Solemnisation of marriages

A marriage solemnised by the Registrar or any person licensed to solemnise marriages may be solemnised according to such form and ceremony as the Registrar or the person solemnising the marriage sees fit to adopt and in some part of the ceremony he or she must request each of the parties to the marriage to declare that the party is willing to take the other party as his or her wedded wife or husband, as the case may be.
