Power to make and improve streets

The Director-General, with the sanction of the Minister, may —
(a)
make new streets and back-lanes;
(b)
build and construct bridges and tunnels;
(c)
turn, divert, discontinue or stop up any public street; and
(d)
widen, open, enlarge or otherwise improve any street,making due compensation to the owners and occupiers of any land, houses or buildings which are required for any such purposes or which are injuriously affected by the works.
