Hydrographic surveys, etc., not to be carried out without approval of Authority
(1)
No person shall carry out or cause to be carried out any hydrographic or hydrologic surveys or other studies of the waters and sea-bed within the territorial limits of Singapore except with the approval of the Authority.
(2)
The Authority may grant the approval referred to in subsection (1) with or without conditions or may refuse to grant such approval.
(3)
Any person who contravenes subsection (1) shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $5,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 6 months or to both.
(4)
This section shall not apply to any hydrographic or hydrologic survey or other study carried out for or on behalf of the Government.[98A
