Disinfection of building
(1)
An authorised officer may give written directions for —
(a)
the disinfection in such manner as he or she may determine of any building in which an infected animal or bird has been found or kept;
(b)
prohibiting the use of any such building until the building has been disinfected in accordance with such directions as may have been given under paragraph (a).
(2)
Any person who, without lawful excuse, fails to comply with any written direction given to the person under subsection (1) shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $5,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 6 months or to both.
