Section 4

Licence to import, manufacture, etc., animal feeds

(1)

The Director‑General may issue a licence to any person to import, manufacture, process for sale or sell simple feeds, feed concentrates or compound feeds upon an application made in the prescribed form and the payment of such fees as may be prescribed.

(2)

A licence shall be subject to such conditions as may be prescribed and such other conditions as the Director‑General may, in his discretion, impose.

(3)

The Director‑General may, in his discretion, at any time, revoke or suspend a licence.

(4)

No person shall import, manufacture, process for sale or sell simple feeds, feed concentrates or compound feeds without a licence issued by the Director‑General.

(5)

Any person who acts in contravention of subsection (4) shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $1,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 12 months or to both.
