Section 19

Attempt to commit offences and assisting offenders

(1)

Without affecting the operation of Chapters 5 and 23 of the Penal Code 1871, any person who attempts to commit or does any act preparatory to the commission of an offence under this Act shall be deemed to be guilty of the offence under this Act.

(2)

A person knowing or having reasonable cause to believe that another person is guilty of an offence under this Act must not give that other person any assistance with intent thereby to prevent, hinder or interfere with the apprehension, trial or punishment of that person for that offence.[15
