Investigation powers

(1)
A registration officer may investigate an offence under this Act.

(2)
In any case relating to the commission of an offence under this Act, a registration officer —
(a)
has all the powers of a police officer under the Criminal Procedure Code 2010 in relation to an investigation into an arrestable offence; and
(b)
when exercising the powers of a police officer under the Criminal Procedure Code 2010, is deemed to be an officer not below the rank of inspector of police.[16B
