Section 19

The agent or employee of any renter or registered renter may transact business generally at any customs office on behalf of the renter or registered renter.

Notwithstanding subsection (1), a senior officer of customs may refuse to transact business with such agent or employee unless the renter or registered renter identifies the agent or employee as empowered to transact such business and deposits with that officer a signed authority authorising the agent or employee to transact such business on behalf of the renter or registered renter.
