Section 19

Who may prosecute

Prosecutions in respect of offences committed under —

(a)

section 9 may, with the authorisation of the Public Prosecutor, be conducted by a senior officer of customs or any officer of customs specially authorised in writing in that behalf by the Director‑General; and

(b)

any other provisions of this Act or any of its regulations may, with the authorisation of the Public Prosecutor, be conducted by an officer of the authority specially or generally authorised in writing in that behalf by the Minister.
