Section 37

Establishment of Society

(1)

A body called the Law Society of Singapore is established.

(2)

The Society is a body corporate with perpetual succession and a common seal, and with powers subject to the provisions of this Act —

(a)

to sue and be sued in its corporate name;

(b)

to acquire and dispose of property, both movable and immovable; and

(c)

to do and to perform any other acts that bodies corporate may by law perform.
