Section 44
Expulsion and suspension of rights and privileges

(1)
Subject to subsection (2), any member of the Society, other than an honorary member, may in the prescribed manner, and upon such grounds, after being given a reasonable opportunity to answer all allegations made against him or her —
(a)
be expelled from membership; or
(b)
be deprived of any one or more rights and privileges of membership.
(2)
A practitioner member must not be expelled from membership so long as he or she has in force a practising certificate.
(3)
An associate member must not be expelled from membership so long as his or her registration under section 36B, 36C or 36D, or the approval given to him or her under section 176(1), continues in force.
