Section 32

Licences for private markets

(1)

The Commissioner may grant a licence to any person for the use of any building, situation or place as a private market on such terms and conditions, for such period and on payment of such fees as he may think fit.

(2)

Any person who establishes, runs or uses any place as a private market without a licence issued under subsection (1) shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $2,000 and to a further fine not exceeding $200 for every day during which the offence continues after conviction.[33
