Section 61

Any person who permits a house to be so overcrowded as to be injurious or dangerous to the health of the inhabitants shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $1,000, and the Magistrate’s Court hearing the complaint may make a nuisance order under section 53, notwithstanding that the notice prescribed by section 52 has not been given.

Any person who fails to comply with such a nuisance order shall be liable to be dealt with under section 53.[62
