Powers of General Division

The General Division has the powers that are vested in it by any written law for the time being in force in Singapore.

Without limiting subsection (1), the General Division has the powers set out in the First Schedule.

The powers mentioned in subsection (2) are to be exercised in accordance with any written law, Rules of Court or Family Justice Rules relating to them.
