Appeal not to operate as stay of execution

An appeal to the Court of Appeal does not operate as a stay of execution or of proceedings under the decision appealed against, unless the court whose decision is appealed against or the Court of Appeal so orders.

No intermediate act or proceeding is to be invalidated except so far as the Court of Appeal directs.
