Section 2

There shall be paid for the civil list of the President so long as he holds office the yearly sums specified in the Schedule.

Payments in respect of the amounts for the privy purse and entertainment allowance specified in Class I of the Schedule shall be made to the President.

Payments of the acting President’s allowance specified in Class I of the Schedule shall be made to the person exercising the functions of the office of President pursuant to Article 22N or 22O of the Constitution.

Payments in respect of the amounts specified in Classes II, III and IV of the Schedule shall be made by or on the instructions of the Private Secretary to the President in accordance with any written law governing the disbursement of public funds.

No payment in respect of the amounts specified in Class I of the Schedule shall be made in respect of any period during which the office of the President is vacant.
