Regulations
(1)
The Minister may make such regulations as may be necessary or expedient to carry out the provisions of this Act.
(2)
Without prejudice to the generality of subsection (1), the Minister may make regulations relating to —
payment of remuneration to persons in national service;
duties of persons liable for service;
duties of employers in respect of national servicemen;
appointment of advisory boards;
registration, fitness examination and enlistment;
postponement, exemption, release and discharge;
exit permits; and
leave.
(3)
Any regulations made under this section may prescribe that any act or omission in contravention of any regulation shall be an offence and may provide for the imposition of penalties for such offence which penalties shall not exceed a fine of $2,000 and imprisonment for a term not exceeding 12 months.
