Section 11A

The President, acting in his or her discretion, may refuse to appoint any person as chairperson, deputy chairperson, director or managing director or to revoke any such appointment if the President does not concur with the advice or recommendation of the Minister, the Cabinet, a Minister acting under the general authority of the Cabinet or the Public Service Commission (as the case may be) and may refuse to concur with an appointment by the Minister under section 9(5)(b).
