Section 27

being a person required to be registered under this Act, carries on business without being so registered or continues to carry on business after the expiry or cancellation of his registration;

fails to submit any change of particulars which is required to be submitted to the Registrar under section 14;

without lawful excuse fails to comply with any summons or requisition of the Registrar under section 24;

makes any statement or furnishes any information to the Registrar under the provisions of this Act which is false in any material particular or by reason of the omission of any material particular and which he either knows or has reason to believe is false; or

fails to comply with any of the regulations made under this Act,shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $5,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 12 months or to both. [23
