Section 77

Regulations in respect of building operations, etc.

(1)

The Minister may make regulations in regard to health, safety and welfare in respect of the following classes of premises, processes, and operations:

(a)

warehouses not forming part of a factory;

(b)

building operations undertaken by way of trade or business, or for the purpose of any industrial or commercial undertaking, and any line or siding which is used in connection therewith and for the purposes thereof and is not part of a railway; and

(c)

works of engineering construction undertaken by way of trade or business, or for the purpose of any industrial or commercial undertaking, and any line or siding which is used in connection therewith and for the purpose thereof and is not part of a railway.

(2)

Regulations made under subsection (1) may apply any of the provisions of this Act to the classes of premises, processes or operations therein mentioned.

(3)

All regulations made under this section shall be published in the Gazette and shall be presented to Parliament as soon as possible after publication.[70
