Power of inspector to conduct proceedings before a Magistrate’s Court or District Court
(1)
An inspector may prosecute or conduct before a Magistrate’s Court or District Court any charge, information, complaint or other proceeding arising under this Act, or in the discharge of his duty as an inspector.
(2)
It shall not be an objection to the competency of an inspector to give evidence as a witness in any prosecution for an offence under this Act that the prosecution is brought at his instance, or conducted by him.[79
