Section 10

Use of the “Red Cross”

(1)

No person other than the Society and any person so authorised by the Minister may use —

(a)

the heraldic emblem of the red cross on a white ground formed by reversing the Federal Colours of Switzerland; or

(b)

the words “Red Cross” or “Geneva Cross”.

(2)

Any person who contravenes subsection (1) shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $10,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 6 months or to both.
