Tenure as Chairperson or Deputy Chairperson
(1)
The Minister may appoint —
a member (other than the Chief Executive Officer) to be the Chairperson of the Council for a period the Minister determines, being not longer than 3 years; and
a member (other than the Chairperson or Chief Executive Officer) to be the Deputy Chairperson of the Council for a period the Minister determines, being not longer than 3 years.
(2)
The Chairperson or Deputy Chairperson may be re‑appointed in accordance with this section.
(3)
The Chairperson or Deputy Chairperson holds office until whichever of the following first happens:
his or her term of office as Chairperson or Deputy Chairperson (as the case may be) expires;
he or she ceases to hold office as a member;
the Minister revokes the appointment as Chairperson or Deputy Chairperson, as the case may be.
