Section 15C
False information in applications, etc.
(1)
If a person —
in relation to an application for any licence, permit, approval or certificate by the person or any other person under this Act or any subsidiary legislation made under this Act; or
in relation to any modification of a condition of any licence, permit, approval or certificate (whether or not procuring for the benefit of the person or any other person) under this Act or any subsidiary legislation made under this Act,furnishes or causes to be furnished any document or information which the person knows or ought reasonably to know that, or is reckless as to whether, it is false or misleading in a material particular, shall be guilty of an offence.
(2)
A person who is guilty of an offence under subsection (1) shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $10,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 12 months or to both.
